The Discovery [Part I]

Something wasn't right
Something askew with the tilt of the world
knots, churning,

Questions, hard questions
Like moving a cloud with but a breath
still I asked, and got no response

I felt it coming
winds swirling. Hot and cold
clouds galloping by

Black and white, it screamed to me
the rains started
wind burning my eyes

The storm, no the perfect storm
was gathering
The wind, rain, hot and cold, all colluded
that day. I rushed to her
knowing fully the answer
but asking it anyway

What? I asked
And out is came
The sky opened up and unleashed its havoc

"I did it, under your nose (six months worth)"
What? I asked, water drenching my heart
Why?
Then without seeing, out it came
wind pushing rain sideways
Lightening the only semblence of sight
Thunderclaps ringing like a shot in the back

"I never loved you"
"I never loved you"

The earth split and opened up
tearing rock as if paper

At the bottom of the crack
stood my heart
catching all
funneling the storm

weeping
shaking
vomiting
it could not take any more
and it broke

I picked it up in my cold hand
and threw it a decade away.
